Bab 85: Mutation

That night, Theodore and his group found themselves in an open space, unable to occupy the South Lake High School building due to the menacing presence of mutated animals. The tension was palpable as they prepared to rest, knowing they were not alone.

As they had discussed earlier, as soon as the sun rose, they immediately rushed away from the South Lake High School area. They were afraid that if they stayed longer, something bad might happen to them. 

Their preparations this time were more thorough, so even though the road to the base was still dotted with hordes of zombies, the soldiers were eagerly shooting at all of them. 

Theodore was forced to sit with the truck's driver at the front by the others, and he was placed there with Chelsea. Honestly, Theodore would instead shoot the zombies in the back. 

Theodore's heavy breathing made Chelsea chuckle softly. She knew that Theodore would not like this arrangement.
