Bab 549: A terrifying night (2)

Ariana didn't know that Penelope was yet to give up on her evil thoughts. She returned to her room, where she took a bath and slid inside her bed after drying her hair and body. 

With her head hitting the pillow, Ariana closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. However, her sleep was not dreamless. She waded through the past, where she was pushed to do things and learn lessons that she did not like. 

There were traces and glimpses that made Ariana hate and loathe herself for letting herself loose. 

She opened her eyes and breathed harshly. Though she knew that she was lost in dreams till now, Ariana still felt terrified when she thought about how Nicolai would find her revolting once the cracks opened up enough to let him peek. 

He would look at her the same way the shadows and the inky figures looked at her. 

She wanted to once again run and hide but that would mean that she was going to lose him again.
