"Looking at you like this makes me feel like you are a forlorn lover. Who can't meet with his beloved," she remarked as she sat down on the stool. 

"Mom!" 

"Alright, alright," Inez rolled her eyes. "Your uncle Theo is angry. You have to understand his considerations as well; his daughter just left the hospital but ended up in the hospital once again, and this time the matter was related to you again. How can he not be angry?" 

"And to make things worse, she is his long lost daughter. It would be surprising if he could withstand such a thing." 

Nicolai pursed his lips and questioned, "But he allowed her to meet with Noah?" Not that he was butthurt about this entire thing.
