Maybe it was a coincidence? Sybil had seen such instances many times and did not think much of it. 

She stepped back and took a close and careful look at Ariana before saying, "You would need a delicate piece of necklace for this dress, fortunately, I have something in hand. You can try it and see whether it suits you or not?" 

Sybil had always been about perfection and would stop at nothing unless she was satisfied with her work. 

Ariana wanted to refuse, she did not need a piece of jewellery on top of a dress. She was certain that buying this dress alone was going to put her in a separate kind of debt. She would rather not add a pendant on top of it.

But before she could refuse, Nicolai agreed with Sybil and said to her, "You are right. This dress looks a tad bit lacking without a nice piece of jewellery."
