Bab 3: Chapter 2: From Good to Bad
As the Christmas activities come to an end I have been getting the weirdest feeling about something, like something is in pain and is whimpering in my ear. I look around and it is just my brother setting fire to the kitchen again. Nothing new there.
We are eating together with the rest of our family out it is just the to of us again, we started to play some Mortat Kombat, I got it as a present and "ate the food prepared by my brother.
"Luck us we didn't get coal for Christmas again, again don't know where, don't know when." My brother Alex was saying for the 5th time in this fight in order to make me distracted.
"STOOP" I shout and attempt to catch him off guard. It did not work as I got brutality out of nowhere.
"And that's three" My brother said in a condescending tone but with an air of smugness.
"Run. It. Back." I said as I pick Subzero with Stryker as Kameo again.
"Bet." Alex said as we get back into our stances and he picked his Shao Kahn and Darrius combo that should not work as well as it does.
Before our Rematch could commence the power went out at our house.
"NOOOOOoooo" A muffled scream could be herd outside on this as everything went black.
" Great, either the power went out or dad cut the power to the house as a joke, again." My brother said as he got his phone and shined a light at my face.
"Christmas is ruined" I cry in my sadness and as we look around to find what the problem was.
We began to look around and see if the lights outside were out and it was pitch black, more than that it was a like a void of darkness as not even the moon or stars were showing.
"Guess it isn't just us then." My brother said as he looked out.
"How it it this dark out, it is only 11" I say as the night owl of the family.
"Phone not working either, can't call dad to see if he's behind this." My brother said still thinking it was somehow dad's plan to mess with us.
"Welp, I am going to check everything else to make sure the house is ok and lock up for the night"
Suddenly the ground started to shake and I wobble a bit in surprise.
"Did we just get and earthquake." I said in anxious statement to try and calm my nerves.
there is a glass break in the other side of the room as we both turn to see a window break.
"Mark, get over here." Alex said to me as I was way ahead of him.
"I didn't do it" I said
"I know, there's glass everywhere so be careful." Alex said shifting his weight to move without a sound like a cat.
We both started to move to the door with a safe behind it, It had the only gun on this floor of the house.
More windows started breaking around us as we duck for cover and try to move fast to the door.
As we make it the wind started howling, my brother started opening the safe to get something to protect the both of them. I held the light and covered it so only enough went to the safe dial.
My brother got his hand on the handgun and loaded it. He trained with mom at shooting ranges so he knows how to do this blindfolded.
"Stay behind me." Alex said as I did what I was instructed to do.
"Let's move to the back door and try to leave." He said
"Got it." I whisper back
"If it's people they are really messed up for attacking us on Christmas." Alex said with a look of determination on his face. 'They aren't here to steal if they break in at night' he thought as he tried to keep his brother safe. 'If they are enemies, they must have caused the blackout'.
'We are almost at the door' I thought as we made our way through the freezing wind and broken glass along the floor.
My brother stops as he holds his hand out to me.
There is a loud bang that hits the door as we move a step back.
My brother aims the gun at the door ready to shoot whatever comes out of it as I sweat out of fear at what's happening.
Out of nowhere the door explodes revealing nothing but darkness. Then something came out and hit the gun in my brothers hand. It happened so fast that I couldn't even see it.
A ghostly howl echoed from the void which seemed to step into the room slowly and heavily.
My brother took a defensive stance never taking his eyes of of it as I try to figure out what is happing.
The room started to morph and distort I found the gun on the floor and grab it, hoping to hand it back to my brother to kill the thing in front of us.
The thing looked at me and suddenly I flung towards it with the gun still in hand.
I try and reach out to my brother as everything went dark.
When I gain conciseness again all I see is darkness around me and I don't know what to do.

Imshocked Second chapter done and I am scared to fail at this story now.
I don't know how dark I want it but it will still be fun at the end of day.
I am rewatching danmachi and rereading Dungeon Ni Deai O Motomeru No Wa Machigatte Iru Darou Ka Gaiden - Sword Oratoria to get material for the world building and it is going good so far.
Quick question, is there a device that lets the Guild see someones states or level and is required to take in order to become an adventurer or is that just made up and I am misremembering something? I haven't found anything yet so I am assuming it is not a thing but I might not have found it yet.
