A Mindlink could only be between pack members, and Orion was not a pack member, so Valerie could not deem it so.

Also, he was trying to take control of her mind, but she wondered exactly what he wanted to achieve with that.

Whatever powers Orion had must be so strong but were still no match for an Alpha wolf with special powers.

"Alpha Val, you are a very beautiful and strong woman. We have a lot in common and can control the world together. Just say I'm in aloud. No one would understand, but our powers would join together."

Valerie could feel an annoying headache accompanying every word that proceeded from his mouth, as if something was piercing through her mind.

It was even trying to control the words that would come out of her mouth, but she could also feel Astrid trying to resist this mind attack.
