Bab 310: Chapter 310 – The Alpha is on the line

"Alice, are they going to kill us?" one of the children asked, fear evident in her eyes as the sounds of war surrounded them.

Alice never enjoyed these times either, but she would turn eighteen in a few months, gain her wolf, and eventually find her mate.

When that happened, she would have children of her own and would need to comfort them during times like this.

Pushing aside her fears, she put on a calming smile and began to reassure the children under her care.

"No, our warriors are skilled. They will protect us from the enemies."

In the absence of the Alpha, most people lose hope, and these children were no exception. Alphas and Lunas were always symbols of hope for the pack.

"Alpha is not here. What if I lose my dad?" one of the boys asked, leaving Alice feeling helpless. She had experienced a similar loss when her parents died in a war orchestrated by supernatural forces.
