Valerie jumped to her feet. "Dad is alive?" She was about to get close to Tristan when Alpha Denzel pulled her back.

"That makes sense." He was glad that Valerie had hope in seeing her father, but it was also clear why his men could not locate any corpse. Can't find the dead among the living.
