Rigel looked at the old man sitting on the bench, unscathed from the heavy blizzard and capable of extinguishing the wall of fire. Based on that, he could tell the old man was already at the peak of the 7th circle mage that expertise in fire magic since it was so easy for him to extinguish it.

"Are you a Ranker?" Rigel asked the old man with his eyes squinted.

"I'm just an old man who's trying to let go of the past, but I can't live a normal life for the things I have done," The old man answered. "And what about you? Why a Ranker like you on this floor?" he looked at Rigel with a calm expression.

"Do I look like them?" Rigel asked back as he removed the hood that hid the upper half of his face.
