Grandpa Lu turned to Xibao and asked, "Xibao, how about you? Is it okay not to leave with mom?"
The old man spoke very pitifully, almost begging.
"I'm very obedient!" Xibao opened her mouth as if it was the most natural thing in the world, meaning she listened to her mom, not Grandpa Lu, "I'll go with mom, there are Guoguo to eat with mom."
"We have Guoguo in our fields too. This year we have task melons, and we planted two acres of them on the mountain land. In a few days, the watermelons will be ripe. Great-grandpa will deliberately break one open when picking melons, and scoop out the red flesh for Xibao to eat." Grandpa Lu's eyes darted around, and he quickly came up with an idea, "In Great-grandpa's private plot, a few sweet melons are planted; when they're ripe, he'll pick them especially for Xibao to eat."
Xibao shook her head vigorously, "Grandpa eat!"
