At four o'clock, the sports meeting ended.

Class 1 of grade 2 secured the highest total score in the entire school and received a small pennant. Wang Wei held it in both hands as if it was a treasure and brought it back to the classroom.

Even though the sports meeting had finished a while back, Class 1 students were still buzzing from the excitement of watching Jiang Su's exhilarating 10,000-metre run. Someone, out of nowhere, began chanting "Grade 2, Class 1, let's go!" and soon, many students joined in the chanting. Some even started to bang their water bottles on the desks to create impromptu music.

The most ecstatic was Wang Wei. He hung the pennant in the most conspicuous position in the classroom. He then stood on the podium and demanded that every student bow to the pennant before entering the classroom.

Many students found him ridiculous and threw their pens and textbooks at him.
