Roman's tone softens a bit as she speaks. He was really letting his emotions get the better of him. He stares at her for a few more seconds and he sighs gently.
"You're right...I'm just letting my emotions get the better of me. I'm sorry. Let's forget about what happened tonight and just relax for now. I apologize for getting so angry with you and acting like a fool."
Megan shakes her head laying back down turning to her side. "I want to sleep."
He frowns a little as he hears her saying she wants to sleep. That was to be expected though. She must have been exhausted after tonight because of how much all of this had upset her. He speaks in a softer tone of voice. "Okay honey. Get comfortable. I'll leave. Just know that I'm sorry again for acting immature and childish towards you."
Roman sighs as he sees her shutting her eyes and not responding. The fact that he had upset her was already enough for him to be disappointed in himself. Now he had only made her even more upset and she was ignoring him. He sighs to himself as he gets up and he leaves the room without saying anything else.
*********
"Yeah I finished the assignment...somehow."
Megan leans against the counter as she spoke to her grandma over the phone. She had woken up in an okay mood considering she and her boyfriend had their first major fight and she ended up kicking him out of her house in the middle of the night after making love. Megan woke up to Roses waiting for her and she was not impressed. Roman had sent her about to other flowers throughout the day too.
Her grandma knew exactly how she usually got on the phone everytime. Even the slightest change in tone would immediately tip her off.
"Honey? You don't sound like you normally do when you usually call me. What's wrong?"
"I'm okay granny. I just have...something on my mind."
Megan knew her grandma already knew she was hiding something. She didn't buy her cheerful act at all. "Honey, you know I can always tell when something is bothering you just by your tone of voice. Don't play that game with me."
Megan takes a deep breath before she began: "Fine...grandma You remember Roman right, well recourse you do, Roman and I are seeing each other now."
Grandma sighs and she speaks softly. "Megan, baby...are you having problems with him? You don't sound happy right now."
"Roman and I really have something special granny, I can tell its so intense and well, Roman got very jealous because he though his friend was flirting with me."
Grandma sighs once again and she speaks softly. "Megan, sweetheart. Jealousy is one of the biggest red flags to watch out for. If he's already acting like that now just imagine how he'll be once the relationship starts to progress. Do you honestly want to continue to be with a guy that's already showing signs of becoming possessive?"
Megan feels her heart sink hearing her grandma say that about Roman. It was true, his actions were signs of a huge red flag but she knew his jealousy wasn't out of nowhere.
"I know. I really hated it but to be fair...I can see why he thought his friend was being flirty...Jack did kinda flirt with me infront of Roman and...I guess...well that messed with Roman's head."
She wasn't trying to defend him but she couldn't help it. Megan thought about every thing and if she had been in Roman's shoes she would have felt the same but she believed she'd handle things differently for sure.
Grandma stays quiet for a little while as she thinks to herself. She didn't want to be completely biased by completely siding with Megan right away. Roman was at fault here, but Jack had somewhat caused a situation where it had gotten in his head. She sighs and speaks softly.
"Jack should have had the awareness and consideration to not flirt with you right in front of him. It was disrespectful to Roman too. However, Roman shouldn't have overreacted either. That's not the proper way to handle things. Did he apologize to you after?"
"Yes granny. He told me how he was wrong and how he's sorry."
"Well I'm glad to hear he apologized at least. Do you think you can forget about what happened though and it won't happen again?"
"I don't know, I think I should give him a chance to prove to me he won't act that way again."
Megan hears her grandma sigh, "I guess I have to agree with that too. You should give him another chance. There's always a possibility that people can change. I just have a feeling that he may become more possessive as the relationship progresses more, though. So I just want you to be very careful and very cautious about it and make sure not to ignore warning signs or red flags. Okay?"
"Alright Granny."
Megan is about to talk when she hears a knock on her door, "Granny I gotta go, let's talk tonight again okay?"
Megan was going to go check who was knocking on her door. Her grandma speaks softly again. "Okay honey, I'll make sure to call you later tonight. Bye."
Megan hangs up as she opens the door, her eyes widen seeing Apollo standing infront of her door.
Apollo, with his blonde hair and green eyes, stands outside the door, leaning against the door frame, with one of his hands placed on the wall next to him. He's wearing all black and he looks pretty hot as he's staring at her with a charming smile on his face confusing her more.
"Why are you here? Did Roman sent you here?"
Apollo grins as he looks at her and he shakes his head. "Nah, he didn't send me here. I'm here because I wanted to see how you were doing and also check on you. You and him had one hell of an argument last night and I could tell it was a pretty serious one."
"I see."
Megan remembers that Apollo had practically dragged her out of the gala and anyone could guess they argued afterwards.
Apollo chuckles and he speaks in a playful tone. "Oh come on, you can't deny that it was a pretty big argument. It caused you to kick him out of your house at an almost ungodly hour."
Megan froze hearing this, her cheeks burned up abit as it hit her the two brother are so close they talk about everything.
He chuckles again and he smiles at her with a playful tone. "Yeah, Roman told me everything. Even mentioned that he sent you flowers today after that whole argument. He's really trying to make it up to you now it seems."
Megan crossed her arms over her chest annoyed with Apollo being here and acting all nice, "Tell me, why are you really here. Stop pretending to be nice."
