Bab 11: Cerulean Gym
Pidgey started to rapidly grow in size. Initially, it was 1 foot 2 inches and now grew to 4 feet, and evolved into a Pidgeotto.
Pidgeotto successfully changed its direction just a few inches away from the ground and attacked Charmander with Aerial Ace, it dealt severe damage to the Charmander. Charmander was relaxed and couldn't respond in time.
Kanna threw a Pokeball onto the Charmander and captured it successfully.
Pidgeotto flew towards Kanna. Kanna patted Pidgeotto while Aananya started to scan it using Pokedex.
[ Pidgeotto: Pidgeotto is a normal and flying type Pokemon. This Pokémon is full of vitality. It constantly flies around its large territory in search of prey. ]
"Pidgeotto perform all the moves you know on those boulders" Kanna wanted to know the moves of Pidgeotto.
Pidgeotto performed Air Slash, Aireal Ace, Twister, and Quick Attack on the boulder. Kanna was happy that Pidgeotto knew two intermediate flying-level moves, one normal move, and one low-level Dragon-type move.
Kanna called Pidgeotto into the Pokeball. Kanna looked around the place and found eleven Moon Stones lying on the ground, maybe Charmander liked collecting them. Kanna picked them up and after that, the group continued their journey.
Kanna, Sri, and Ananya exited Mt. Moon and saw a signboard saying Route 4 but because it was already 12:20 pm they decided to have their lunch there.
Kanna, Sri, and Ananya released all of their Pokemon to let them familiarize themselves with each other. There were a total of 10 Pokemon Including Pikachu.
Kanna introduced the Charamander to the group while Sri and Ananya introduced their Cleffa and Geodude to the Pokemon.
All three new Pokemon quickly became friends with the 7 Pokemon. After that, they ate the Pokemon food and went back into their Pokeballs with only Pikachu remaining outside.
Kanna, Sri, and Ananya also had their lunch so they continued their way toward the Cerulean city.
Route 4 is a very normal way unlike route 3 so it was easy to cross it with only fighting a few wild Pokemon through their way to Cerulean City finally they arrived there at around 4:00 pm and they went to the Pokemon Center and rented a room for three days.
Kanna, Sri, and Ananya left all their Pokemon in the Pokemon Center and went to the Cerulean Gym to register for their match tomorrow morning.
"Kanna is this the Cerulean Gym" Sri asked Kanna with a confused expression.
"Kanna this looks more like an aquarium center than a Gym" Ananya said looking at the fish Pokemon in the tanks.
"Sri, Ananya, don't worry this is the Cerulean Gym" Kanna said with a confident expression on his face.
They all went to the reception to register.
"Hello, Mam we would like to register for our Gym battle tomorrow morning" Kanna said with a smile that could capture anyone's heart.
"You would need to pay 2000 Pokemon Dollars to challenge the Gym" The receptionist said with a blush.
"Okay, you can process all three payments from this card" Kanna handed over the debit card to the receptionist but Ananya and Sri wanted to pay their money by themselves so Kanna had no choice but to let them Pay.
The Gyms charge the money because it is a source of income for the Gym leader, and they also need to maintain the battlefield, staff salaries, and many other things that require money.
Gym leaders would earn around 20k to 55k Pokemon Dollars per month. If a trainers win the Gym battle then the Gym will have to pay them money as a reward for winning the gym battle. The Indigo League will also provide Gyms with huge funds so that they will not face any financial difficulties.
After registering for it they went back to the Pokemon Center rested for an hour and started to train their Pokemon in one of the battlefields behind the Pokemon Center.
Pikachu was again training for Iron Tail, he successfully got to harden his tail while using it but by the time its tail touched the rock, the move was canceled out, while Pidgeotto was working to increase its speed, Charmander was also working to increase the hotness of the flames released by it, and Magikarp was practicing tackle.
Magikarp's Tackle could now smash the medium-sized boulders into tiny pieces of rock, but the battle with Sesank affected it greatly and it started to train its tackle whenever it had the chance.
On the other side, Sri's Squirtle was trying to increase the force of the Water Gun it would release and also the duration of it, Nidoran(F) was practicing dig, and Cleffa was trying to improve its speed.
Ananya's Bulbasaur has succeeded in using the Solar Beam but after using a single solar beam it couldn't even move, Solar Beam is consuming all of its energy. Poliwag was practicing Aqua jet, and Geodude was training to increase the intensity of its Magnitude.
Finally, at 7:00 pm they went to have their dinner while their Pokemon were eating their Pokemon food and after dinner, they called the Pokemon back into the Pokeball and went to their room to sleep.
Kanna immediately slept after entering the bed. Sri and Ananya came into Kanna's bed and hugged him to sleep.
Kanna was woken up at 5:30 am by the alarm. Kanna got used to the two kolas beside him.
'I will talk to them both after the Gym battle' Kanna thought as he was getting out the bed without making a noise.
Kanna got out of bed without making any noise and then went to the gym inside the Pokemon center to exercise he returned after 40 minutes and freshened up.
Sri and Ananya also woke up at 6:15 am and after they also started to freshen up.
Kanna, Sri, and Ananya were now ready and went to the cafeteria to have breakfast.
They also called out their Pokemon for breakfast, and after completing their breakfast they went back into the Pokeballs. It was 7:00 am when they left the Pokemon center and they had their Gym battle scheduled from 8:00 am onwards.
