Bab 111: A Brush with Death

Watching the truck barrel towards her, his eyes widened in terror, filled with dreadful bloodshot, knowing he couldn't reach her in time. 

"No!" he screamed, thinking the truck would hit her. 

But in the next moment, the truck swerved, narrowly missing Avery Miller by mere inches. 

As Avery looked up, the truck missed her face by the slimmest margin. 

Frozen in place, the roaring noise of the truck seemed to crush her ears, her mind blank, with the world reduced to a buzzing sound. 

She was petrified.

Ethan Montgomery's heart leaped to his throat, drenched in cold sweat. 

Witnessing the truck change direction, he ran to her like a madman, enveloping her tightly in his arms. 

He hugged her fiercely, one hand wrapping around her petite frame to his other shoulder, as if hitting himself, unrelentingly pounding in frustration.
