Bab 103: Ch 102 - Mother's Comfort
"Before you say anything, the beds are adult-sized so the two of us fit quite comfortably. He came back every day to keep reading the books to me.
"Unlike the dormmates I showed my muggle books, he was completely fine with them. I guess it was because he also grew up a muggle like me."
"We were two-thirds of the way through 'Return of the King' before I was able to see normally again, but Lucifer hates leaving a job unfinished, and he kept reading to me till he finished."
"Over the six days, I wasn't used to things being a bit different from my accident. Apparently, the cat hair I used in the potion came from an adult cat, well, Kneazle.
"Which is a type of magical cat that's the reason I couldn't be changed back all the way. The Kneazle magic, potion magic and my magic all got mixed up in a knot and won't come undone," Hermione took a deep breath.
"And I am so glad it was a girl cat, otherwise it could have led to huge problems I don't even want to think about....."
Her mother's face went a little green as she thought of the possibilities.
At this point, Hermione began blushing profusely, "But anyway...as the cat was an adult, it...well...I guess you could say I'm even more 'possessive' towards Lucifer, I almost jinxed a 3rd year Quidditch girl, who was in the hospital wing here, for staring at him too much....and it's getting worse by day, I just want him around me all the time...."
Hermione was burning so hot by now that she was surprised she hadn't melted the ice cream in her lap.
"So, Lucifer was next to me, and after a few days, it just felt natural to remove his shirt, and then snuggle up next to him.
"And too easy to dismiss it as a cat thing to cuddle up to something warm..."
"One thing just sort of led to the next, and before I could understand what was going on, my head ended up inside his underwear, and, I bit his di-"
Jane abruptly interrupted Hermione and asked cautiously, "And just what exactly did you do to him?" Her tone was conspiratorial, like two girlfriends gossiping.
She didn't want Hermione to close her off, but inside she was of course a worrying mum.
Just how far had her daughter gone with her boyfriend?
"Well, let's just say, I was able to send him to bed that night... it's just, I don't think, I would be able to control myself for much longer...."
Mrs Granger relaxed immensely; while she still felt her daughter was a bit young, it sounded as though Hermione was able to be rational, and send the boy into his room, they had kept their clothes on at the very least.
But there was more, "...but, that incident is what led to Madam Pomfrey putting me on the potion Grandpa asked about."
That sparked her mother's interest, she had been intending to ask about that after hearing about Lucifer, but it seemed that they had reached the topic naturally.
"She felt that it was out of character for me to be kissing Lucifer, trying to remove his clothes every time and did some checking she hadn't thought about till then."
Hermione was now in a constant state of embarrassment, her blush reaching shades her mother hadn't seen since she had talked to her about being prepared for her monthly 'visitor'.
"It turns out I now go into heat like a cat and because the cat was an adult I have been thrown in at the deep end."
"The potion tones down the feelings for some time but Madam Pomfrey thinks, even those won't be of any help as I grow up...."
"M-Mum, I don't want to force him to satisfy my urges...."
"It's like I am always so hungry....no, being starved..for drinking that..."
Jane didn't know what to say; her daughter was embarrassed and obviously dealing with some real issues.
"Also if you'd noticed, my chest is also several times much bigger than when I entered here, Kneazle cat's have a large no of nipples to feed their kittens, but Madam Pomfrey was able to remove those extras.. but these two.... "
"Oh God, it's going to be so much pain in the butt, walking with two huge balloons forming up there, I really don't want to be like those cartoonish girls in the upcoming future..."
"And there's no real answer to how much flesh I would have to take care of...."
"• ! •" Jane.
Hermione'd gone from being a budding girl to having to deal with a full-blown sex drive practically overnight.
She set the half-finished bowl of ice cream on Hermione's writing desk, grazing her palm over the mirror.
She couldn't exactly hold her daughter in a warm hug, "It's okay honey, we can cope with this. It's going to be fine. Besides, you love Lucifer anyway, right?"
Hermione nodded numbly on her seat, while pretending it was her Mum's arms on her shoulders, and started to cry.
The last bit of tension she had been holding for past days finally got an outlet.
They stayed like that for a while; the two replayed a scene as old as humanity, a mother comforting her daughter on the cusp of leaving behind her childhood.
After that, the two sat there talking for a good hour and a half, the mother asking questions.
Laying the groundwork to help her daughter cope with the new challenges that were now waiting for her.
