"I daydreams in night,
Nightmares eat me in day,
You held a secret pearl in your palm,
Which is the only key to keep me sane,"

To say he wasn't scared was a lie. He knew, he handled worst patients but still something inside hurt him seeing her so disturbed. All of it, he was scared of her mental illness. If a normal person sees someone, couple dancing without a partner that too in the middle of the night would scared them to death. His entire morning went thinking about it, he even confronted his personal assistant about this case. They were willing to cure her.
She descended down on the stairs with chirped humming. Her wide and enthusiastic smile was to fall for. Her beige floral collar dress flowing with her every step. Umbrella sleeves with cuffs added more fairytale look on her look with a soft pink lip gloss completing her look. She enchanted him. For once in his life he looked proud of his decision to marry her. Her enchanting smile made him froze in his tracks.
She giggled seeing him frozen, her brown, normal, but not so normal eyes twinkling beautifully. Her smile widened the more she closed the gap between them.
"Assalamualaikum." soft whisper touched his ears making him snap back to the reality. He smiled wider than her. His canines complementing his smile.
"Wa'alaikum assalam, darling" he replied with a nickname; making her tilt her head and look at him with shine of amazement and happiness in her eyes.
His gaze lingered more than her in her eyes. He remembered last night's event and sighed gathering her small frame in his arms. She looked so normal like this, happy without any worry. He felt so bad for her, that his hold tightened around her frame.
"Woah!" she was surprised and shocked but gave in soon, wounding her arms around his neck.
"You know today I have to go there for an interview." she muttered into chest as his chest vibrated with a hum noise he made.
"Let’s have our breakfast." he murmured into her hair pulling away from her and serving her avocado bread with orange juice as she likes.
They started their breakfast with so much of peace surrounding them making it uncomfortable for him to not think about her.
"I had a beautiful dream last night." she engaged him with her talks.
"Mhhmm" he nodded, signing her continue.
"There's this character in the book I am reading, Axel. He is so sweet to the main female character. Anyways, I saw myself dancing with Aaron Warner and you know what you came in between pushing him to the side and danced with me as if you were jealous. We even talked about many things, but I don't clearly remember it. It was something like longing and dusk and dawn part. It happens with me the most.” She cuckled.
“I don't remember most of my dreams. And there's another reason for it too because sometimes my dreams seems too real to be just a dream." she ranted not knowing how it hurt him to know that she thought it as a dream when it happened in reality.
"Sometimes I think I am suffering from Oneirataxia." she chuckled it off, not sensing how his palm tightened into a fist which made his knuckles turn white.
He scowled making a mental note to discuss about this with his personal assistant. Wiping his mouth with a napkin he stood smiling at her and telling her.
"Just admit that you are smitten by me." teasing her.
"What if I say I am, so, will you admit that you are smitten by me too?" She playfully nudged him sliding her feet into her white pair of sneakers. Her fingers worked swiftly and softly as wore her hijab and secured it with a pin.
He frowned, his eyes brows together seeing her go this mismatched.
"Why don't wear some hills or other kind of platforms?" he voiced his thoughts out loud securing his files in his bag.
"Because I feel comfortable in it, and those heels and platforms are really not my things"
"Nobody wants me tripping every two seconds." she continues walking to the door.
"That's okay. I will never let you fall."
"I know." Those two words held so much faith in them, that it hurt him, making him realize why he really married her.
Skipping to the entrance of the house he locked his door and turned his car on, ignoring the regression crawling its way to his heart.
She kept her bag with his on her lap as he hit the road with his car.
Her words from the last night started messing with his head. Only for her voice to clear his head
"You remember the day when we met for the first time?" she asked gazing out of the car window.
"Yeah"
"That night I had a dream about a little boy. I was going on the roof and he was on my way with a cute frown on his face, he was angry and throwing a fit. I asked him what is wrong but he said nothing and the frown on his face didn't budge away."
She paused making his face morphed in a frown with a down ward twitch in his lips.
"On our wedding night I had the same dream about that little boy, but this time he had a girl with him. I was on my way to roof when I turned back to have a look at them, the girl kissed him-, on his cheeks Waqas don’t smirk like that!-, and his frown went like it was never there. I remember waking up with a wide smile plastered on my face that day. I was too happy that day. For that boy." she continued with a continued pause making his lip form in a beautiful smile, no one has ever seen.
He said nothing but intertwined his calloused palm with her soft ones. Making her sigh with satisfaction of knowing just like that boy had that girl. She has him too. For eternity. Only death can do them apart.
"Here is your destination." he said pressing on brakes making her turn to him with soft smile.
"This is not my destination. For the first time in my life, I changed what I want." she said breaking the peace that fall onto them.
Sliding down the car she walked towards the entrance and turned to him to wave, only for her to stumble back with his chiseled chest.
He chuckled and hugged her good bye. Kissing her on the forehead, he pushed her softly towards the entrance making him shake her head. Chuckling, she sprinted inside. He saw her walking away and went into his car and drove to his journey.
