Bab 349: The End of the Secret Passage

The injured soldier looked at Darton fearfully. Terrified, he tried to scramble away. But in that instant, his vision started to blur. The image reflecting in his eyes started to turn dark before his consciousness finally faded away.

“He got so scared he fainted!? It’s because of people like you that the Refanian army was so weak they lost to that bastard Arias. The likes of you shouldn’t even be a soldier!”

Darton cursed furiously when he saw that his prey had already passed out. The body of the soldier before him was no different from a corpse. There was only faint breathing but no movements.

“Then I should end this quickly.”

The longsword in his hand was raised with the intention to take the life of the soldier in a single strike. There was no use conversing with an unconscious enemy. It was better to just get rid of him.
