Bab 289: Provoke and Hunt

The sound of burning branches. White smoke billowed into the sky. Birds were flying to flee from death. Some animals that failed to escape in time ended up lying on the ground as sacrifices to the flames. There was hot steam spewing everywhere, and you could feel the heat of the flames just by standing nearby. But amid the blazing forest fire, there were two mages who stood facing each other with open hostility.

On one side was a mage in a golden mask who seemed extremely ruthless. His eyes were filled with bloodlust, and his body was covered in blood that belonged to the mages that he had killed. On the other side was a young man with a sharp-featured face, unique blue eyes, and golden hair that reflected the firelight. His eyes were sharp, and they never once left the enemy who stood before him.

“You must be the one who summoned the spider demon.”

Arias stated his guess.
