Bab 140: The Final Act of the War

“Is it really dead?”

Zen uttered, still not quite able to believe his own eyes. He walked closer to the demon’s body out of curiosity. While he could see that it was lifelessly still and its head had been blown to pieces, he still wanted to make sure that this thing was really dead. He wanted to confirm that the gate to hell had really been sealed shut.

“Stupid thick skin.”

Zen tried to slash the demon’s lifeless body with his longsword. But because of its thick skin, the effect was like that of a kitchen knife trying to cut a stone. The powerless sword could only create a small scratch on the demon’s body. Zen began to unleash his power until the sword started to glow with faint blue light.
