Bab 7: Ch.7
Emi sat frozen in complete fear. She couldn't believe the bad luck she had. Of all the Makaizers she could be bonded to, it had to be The Harbinger of Cain itself. She couldn't stop quivering, her breathing turned to heavy panting, and her fingers to her toes twitched erratically.
Even if she got out of the room how would she explain to anyone that the Makaizer the Church of Origin blames for introducing murder to the world was her's now?
Emi's worries only started, soon her body felt cold and afraid now felt hot, scorching at that. Every cell in her body exploded in pain, worse than when she had the bracelet attached to her. She fell to the ground screaming again in agony, her body began to finally absorb all the experience points she had accepted from the transfer. The rush was intense, bordering on pleasure and pain.
She tried to hold onto her sanity as best as she could, for the first time in her life even when she was beaten by her old boss, broke her hand during an order, or even tried to take a knife to her neck, she didn't want to die.
She wanted to live, she wanted to live now more than ever. Her fists tightened, her teeth clenched. Emi wasn't going to lose this fight, she came this far, and this was not going to beat her after everything that happened in her life.
Emi didn't notice because of the pain but during the process, her left eye was now the color of a firey ruby. Her dark blonde hair turned jet black.
The transformation was complete, she wheezed heavily trying to catch her breath, even moving a finger felt like she had broken glass in her body.
The screen popped up, and the message it delivered was just as insane as the body change.
"Transfer complete. Level X achieved. WARNING!!!! No information on the level was found. New information regarding Level X is obtained only through the user's actions and achievements."
"What the?? Level X? Is this some joke!" Level X was never heard of. The highest was SSS, only four held that title in the past long before even the King and Queen's reign. Does that mean like the Harbinger's Class rank, this level was a very rare one that hasn't been seen yet unless conditions were met? All of this at once gave Emi a migraine, but even that didn't last long. The cuts and sprained ankle even healed along with the scars she once had.
Emi had to see what the effects were on her stats or what she gained now. She saw right, all her stats went through the roof, and she even gained skills such as Auto-heal among various ones she would look at later.
"Achievement unlocked. User can select one of three weapons. Weapons can only function with the user. Attempts to touch weapon will destroy the body part of the perpetrator."
The screen displayed the three weapons, one a whip dubbed 'Lillith's tail,' gloves 'Arachne's thread,' a small snub-nosed revolver 'Sanzu Reveler.'
Emi couldn't decide at first, but she chose the one she felt comfortable with. She chose the revolver, a weapon similar to what Ramírez used that she is familiar with.
"You have chosen Sanzu Reveler. Do you wish to proceed?"
"Yes," clicking the accept button.
"Sanzu Reveler acquired. Skills: 100+ points against evil affinity targets, barrier piercing, infinite ammo, reload rate 6 seconds. Finishing Move: Bloodshot."
The gun materialized in Emi's hands. It looked like an ordinary revolver at a glance. It was black steeled with wave line designs like a river and had darkened bone grips with a pentagram engraved in them. The cylinder for the ammo wouldn't open but she could see red bullets in the chambers.
Emi half smiled, she got this as a bonus for the level. Made her think of what should she use it on first to test it out. She would get that answer quickly. When she looked up her joy turned to fear again. Standing before her, the Harbinger of Cain was now awake. Looking straight at her!
