Having felt good about their conversation at the restaurant the other day, Camille found herself sleeping even easier than before.
Now she didn't have to worry about strangers coming in and out of her home while she was away at work or if she ever went out with her co-workers.
"Mmm!" She moaned as she stretched her arms to the sky.
"How did you sleep?" She asked, looking over towards where Lyris typically slept.
His spot was empty, his cushion and bedding already put away in the closet.
'That's odd. He's usually waiting here for me, even if he wakes up first.'
She swung her feet over her bed and headed out into the main room.
Sitting at her counter was a perky blonde wearing one Lyris' t-shirts.
"Morning!" The girl said cheerfully.
Camille rubbed her forehead and sighed.
"I'm sorry, who are you and what are you doing here?" Camille asked, as she crossed her arms.
She found herself feeling embarrassed at the fact that a complete stranger was seeing her in her nightgown.
"Oh! I'm Corrine. I'm Lyra's…..well….." Corrine looked down and with a smile, bit her lip.
"His plaything?" Camille asked, scanning the room.
"Well….I wouldn't really put it like that. I really like him! I'd like to get to know him some more. He's really hot!" Corrine explained.
Camille smiled, "Right….and your clothes are?"
Tilting her head, Corrine furrowed her eyebrows, "I'm sorry?"
"I asked you where your clothes were. That's Lyris' shirt, oh, and it's Lyris by the way, not Lyra."
Camille flipped her hair as she passed Corrine and looked around the room for the girl's clothes.
"They're over there…." Corrine pointed behind the couch, which Camille then headed over to.
"Well, why don't you take your clothes," Camille said as she began to pick them up, "and get out of here."
Corrine stood from the chair and stared at Camille puzzled.
"But Lyra- I mean….Lyris, is going to be expecting me to be here when he gets out of the bathroom."
Camille dropped the girl's clothes in her hands and gently pushed her towards the door.
"Trust me, he won't. He'll be just fine!"
After successfully getting the stranger out of her apartment, Camille grabbed her purse and began to rummage through it.
"Okay babe, who's ready for round tw-o-WHOOOO! Camille!" Lyris exclaimed as he exited the bathroom wearing only a pair of boxers.
Camille smiled, "Why is it that you never wear any clothes?"
Lyris laughed awkwardly, "I'm already wearing more than enough, and that's with you in mind!"
"I see that you had another stranger in my house again. What did we talk about?"
Lyris sat on the couch and placed his head on his knuckles as he smirked.
"Oh? I'd love to see you try and kick me out! I dare you to try it! I followed your rules this time! I know her, she's not a stranger!"
Camille pulled something out of her purse and hid it behind her back.
She leaned over and smiled wide at him, "Oh really?"
Lyris returned her smile, "Yes, really! I promise you, she's no stranger! I really followed your rules!"
"Well, Lyris, if that is your real name. Why don't you tell me a few things about her then?"
Camille took a seat next to him on the couch and leaned towards him, her face beaming.
"What is it that you want to know?" He questioned, leaning towards her as well.
"What do you know about her? What's her name?"
Lyris laughed and placed his hand on Camille's cheek, "Her name? Are you jealous? Could it be that you want to know the name of the woman who has grown so close to your ferocious lion?"
Camille smiled and nuzzled his hand, "But of course! What is her name? Tell me all about her."
Lyris heart started to race.
'She's….nuzzling my hand...her skin is so soft and she's so….warm….'
He cleared his throat as he felt his face redden.
Turning his face away from her, trying to hide his emotions, he cleared his throat again, before continuing, "Her name is Katherine."
'DING DING! I knew it!' she thought as she smiled even wider, 'Her name is Corrine you fool!'
Camille crawled towards him, "Mhmm. And?"
Lyris turned back to face her, surprised to see that their noses were about to touch.
He gulped hard as he felt his lower half start to tingle.
This was different to what he felt with other women.
"A-and?" His back stiffened straight. Now he was developing a stutter? What was this?
"Mhmm. And." Camille repeated.
"What….do you mean….And?" Lyris scooted away from here and averted his gaze.
Sweat began to bead down his neck as he felt his body temperature increase.
He wanted to press his lips against hers, although he knew she wouldn't allow that.
Or would she?
She WAS being physically affectionate with him. Could it be that this new woman had really made her realize how much she wanted him?
"What else could I mean? Tell me what else you know about her. I'm curious."
Lyris held his fist to his mouth as he cleared his throat yet again.
'What a devilish woman she must be, to make an angel such as myself feel this way!'
"Is there more to know other than her name?"
Camille leaned in closer, her lips almost making contact with his ear as she whispered, "You should at least know that Katherine isn't her name."
Lyris turned his head towards Camille. Their lips were about to touch, when Camille leaned back just in time to avoid contact.
"Actually, I was prepared for a moment like this. Well, not exactly. I didn't expect you would claim to know her, but I thought, maybe, just in case, you would break a rule again. I feel really bad about the thought of throwing a pathetic thing like you out on the street, so I actually bought you something."
Lyris glared at her as she rubbed the top of his head.
However, his interest had piqued.
She'd bought him a gift?
What could it be?
'Isn't buying gifts a sign of affection for humans?' he thought, finding himself getting overly excited at the idea.
Out from behind her back, Camille pulled out a collar and leash.
"Yeah! So be a good kitty and come here! Let me put it on!"
Lyris closed his eyes and let out a deep laugh, "You're not serious! That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! You want to diminish me to a house pet? Yeah right!"
His laughter faded as he opened his eyes and was met with Camille's devilish smile.
"Ca….mille?" He stared at her nervously as she held his gaze.
He wanted to look away, but her intense eyes made him feel almost locked in place.
She held up the collar and dangled it from her index finger.
"Do you think I'd waste my money on this just for a joke? You bad boy angel, do I seem like the kind of person to do something like that?"
Lyris shuttered, "B-bad boy angel? Are there any such angels?"
Camille smiled at him. It was the purest smile, but the under tone of it felt full of mischief.
"There's Lyris. That's why I got this collar. You need to be tamed!"
His eyes widened as she scooted towards him.
"No no no no no!" He shook his head violently as he waved his hands in front of his head, "Stay away from me with that thing! I don't want any part of that!"
"And I don't want any part of you bringing unknown people into my home!"
Lyris scooted farther away, "Alright, I promise! I promise! I PROMISE! I won't bring ANYONE here, even if I know them!"
Camille shook her head with that same smile on her face.
"Nope! Sorry! The time for negotiations is over. Your promises don't mean anything!"
She tackled him and fell face first into the couch's arm as Lyris just barely jumped out of the way.
"Are you okay?" He asked, full of concern.
Camille stood up and rubbed her nose, "I'm fine! I'll be even better once I get this thing on you!"
Lyris jumped away again as she lunged towards him.
"You're joking! Tell me you're joking! You can't really be serious about this, I don't believe you!"
Camille started to laugh as she chased him around the room, "Then stop running away and see! See that I'm not serious! Come here!"
"You're crazy! You've cracked! Camille I think you've really lost it!"
"Who made me this way? Huh? Just come here! You need to learn!"
After half an hour of them screaming at each other, chasing and running, Camille finally walked into her bedroom.
Clapping her hands with a smile on her face, she flopped on her bed, exhausted from all the chasing.
Sitting on the floor pouting, with a collar around his neck, was the bad boy angel himself – Lyris.
