"Do we need to make a statement?" Riley asked as she leaned against the wall, looking up at one of the screens in my office.
Apparently, they had established codes when it came to calling for emergency meetings and situations, this was code orange.
"And tell them what?" Alexander asked. It was clear in his tone that he was losing patience with everyone, he even went as far as snapping at his cousin. "I am not telling them that the interaction they had was a trick of the cameras or that the woman in the photo means nothing to me!"
"We're not asking you to do that," Lex grumbled.
"I'm not denying my wife!" the anger in his tone made my heart clench. For a moment I couldn't help but hope there was at least some love between us, but I wasn't a fool.
I knew what kind of person Alexander was.
That's when it hit me, he might not need to deny me if we manipulated his words.
"I have an idea," I said, raising my head.
