Bab 92: Strength of the Marked

Everything was seemingly frozen in place. Levi could feel every artery of the heart that was slowly dying in his hand before he crashed it completely.

The King's eyes were plagued with shock and utter fear as he took his last breath, unironically kneeling before his subjects before his body slumped on the floor.

"Daddy!"

"Father!"

Both Henry and Valerie ran to their father's side. Each filled with nothing but grief and sorrow. Henry especially, he may have hated his father but he never once wished for his death.

He reached him first, holding and crying over his slump body. Valerie soon joined him. Not that they underestimated the person who had just killed their father but their first reaction was going to help — but there was nothing they could have done, nobody could heal death.
