"What's the use of having a degree? I'm worse off than you, I've lived my life like a mealworm."
Luo Qianxun let out a sigh, she married Li Mingxun right after graduation, never worked a day in her life, she was a total work-world novice.
"Qianxun, don't be too hard on yourself. You have great design talent and your works are very popular."
Bai Xiaolian tried to comfort Luo Qianxun. "You just misguided your sincerity. When the day comes and you realize it, kick Li Mingxun out and return to your career, so everyone can witness the true identity of the mysterious designer JELIDA."
"That's just me dabbling in design, I only produce one piece a month."
Luo Qianxun gave a bitter smile, "Right now, all I want is to quietly give birth to my child. For the sake of my child, I will become stronger and stronger."
"You are radiating a maternal glow."
Bai Xiaolian looked at Luo Qianxun, "You will certainly be a great mother."
"Hehe..."
Luo Qianxun laughed, she thought so too.
She hadn't enjoyed the love of her parents as a child. Once her baby is born, she would give them the best maternal love.
As for paternal love, she would try her best to compensate.
"Enough about me, Xiaolian, surely you can't always stay in a bar where all sorts co-exist?"
Luo Qianxun glanced disapprovingly at Bai Xiaolian, "You should plan sooner rather than later."
She treated Bai Xiaolian's wound, placed a band-aid on it, and instructed, "Don't let the wound touch water these days, and be careful not to tear it open, if the cut gets bigger you'll need stitches."
"The day I get tired of this place, I'll leave. But not yet."
Bai Xiaolian pushed Luo Qianxun towards the bar's exit, "Alright, now you're pregnant, you shouldn't stay here anymore, go home and rest."
"Okay, once you've sorted things out here, let me know."
Luo Qianxun knew there wasn't much she could do to help Bai Xiaolian by staying.
Bai Xiaolian helped Luo Qianxun into a taxi and turned back to the bar.
The police had completed their report and left, leaving a mess behind.
She sighed resignedly, and called to the other waiters, "Let's clean this up, the bar must continue its business."
Everyone quickly began to clean up, and Bai Xiaolian wasn't idle either, overlooking the wound on her hand.
Landiao Bar was open all night, it was not yet ten o'clock, they couldn't close and take a break.

Once Luo Qianxun returned to the villa, she sat cross-legged on the sofa and stared blankly.
This was what she spent most of her time doing this past year, apart from daydreaming, she didn't know what else she could do.
A gurgling sound came from her stomach, and only then did she realize she was hungry. She got up and walked into the kitchen.
Opening the cupboard, she saw only some noodles. It seemed she could only cook some egg noodles.
Her cooking skills were quite good, and within ten minutes she had cooked a bowl of fragrant and tasty noodles.
"Babies, mommy will go to the supermarket tomorrow to buy some ingredients, tonight we'll just have to manage with what we have."
Luo Qianxun patted her stomach, muttered a sentence, and started to eat her noodles with her chopsticks.
After only a few bites, she felt a tumultuous feeling in her stomach, she put down her chopsticks, rushed into the washroom, and started vomiting.
After she finished vomiting, she washed her face with cold water, sat back at the dining table, picked up her chopsticks, and continued to eat.
She couldn't be whimsical like before, eating when she wanted and not eating when she didn't want to.
She had to consider the child in her belly now, even if she felt uncomfortable, she still forced herself to finish her meal.
Tears mixed with the noodles and entered her stomach.
The early stages were so difficult, and ten long months were still ahead, she didn't know how she was going to bear it.
But no matter what, she was going to grit her teeth and persevere.
