Bab 31: A kiss of death

"You don't expect me to give away my bed for you, right?" Zephyr looked at the girl suspiciously, who widened her eyes before shaking her head.

"Oh my, I would never suggest that, elder prince. Why would you sleep with me?" Katherine asked before she realized the mistake with her sentence.

"Sleep with you?" Zephyr asked, stepping closer to her, and Katherine gulped, looking straight into his eyes.

Zephyr raised his hand and tucked the loose strand of her hair behind her ears, his blue eyes only becoming more enchanting the more she looked into them.

"I am a light sleeper. I can take this big sofa, or the carpet, if you don't mind," Katherine whispered.

In her spy life, there were many times when she slept on a hard concrete ground for nights to spy on people, so sleeping on a carpet as soft as this one was nothing for her.

Zephyr looked at the girl, who really didn't care about anything.
