Chen Ming had no idea those four were planning something against him at the moment. Right now, he had already gotten an idea about the name Hai Shen from one of the texts placed among the merfolk.

He flipped open the book which seemed too old. It looked like this book hadn't been opened and flipped for several centuries!

Chen Ming frowned as he opened the page and coughed as dust rose in the air because of the book. He covered his nose and started reading the book.

It was a history of merfolks, the history of what happened not just to the merfolks, but to the entire world.

He was stunned because everywhere, he had only seen and heard people speaking about how humans had become less compassionate and more demonic. Thus, when other races appeared, the humans back then didn't receive them properly, even tricking those people into slavery and other kinds of businesses that led other races to hate the humans even more.
