With the photos, the further search seemed very useless to the police. No one was saying anything, but the dark side of their minds was already drawing up a very grim conclusion—the boy was in love with the girl, and when he saw these pictures, he could not help but feel betrayed and commit suicide.

The human mind is a very complex thing. It heavily depends on the first impression of someone, and it quickly feels betrayed when the reality does not match their initial impression. Although the human mind knows logic, it follows the evil instinct naturally. Humans are not capable of thinking anything good in a situation like this.
