Yvonne groaned as she slowly regained consciousness, her head throbbing with intense pain. She tried to piece together what had happened. Her memory was foggy, but she remembered seeing someone, and then... nothing. As she stood up, her legs wobbly and unsteady, she realized she had no idea who attacked her and why. 

Her phone buzzed continuously on the floor. She picked it up, and her eyes widened when she saw the time. "2 p.m.? Was I knocked out for two hours?" 

She saw there were ten missed calls from Ezra. With trembling fingers, she called him back. He answered on the first ring. 

"Yvonne! Are you okay? I've been worried sick. Why didn't you pick up?" 

"I...I don't know. I'll explain later," she said, her voice shaky. She hung up, her mind racing with questions. Who could have done this? Why did the person knock her out? It seems like she is playing a game with the person.
