Yvonne's voice quivered as she spoke, "Poisoned? How... how is that even possible?" 

"I am not sure, but the poison has been in her system for a very long time," he explained. "Only now are the symptoms manifesting, making it crucial that we identify the poison. Without knowing what we are dealing with, removal becomes exceedingly difficult." 

Yvonne's legs gave way beneath her, and Alexis supported her. The implication struck her-a poison silently in her body for a long time, undetected. 

"You can't remove the poison because you don't know what it is?" she asked, just to be sure. 

"Yes," 

Yvonne's whole body was trembling. The poison can't possibly be from where she was kidnapped. Since he said it has been in her system for a very long time, 

"We will try to find the poison before it is too late, but I also want you to think about where she was that got her the poison."
