Bab 44: Forged

Flashback to the night before the three-day vacation reward in Scintervale City.

Looking at the monitors showing what the remaining 11 leaders and the emperor are doing, I asked Vince, "Still no evidence found about their bad deeds?"

"None, everything is so clean. They did a good job hiding their wrongdoings," Vince replied, frustration evident in his voice.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair in frustration. "We can't give up now. There has to be something we've missed."

Vince nodded grimly, his eyes scanning the screens in front of us. "I know, but it's like they're one step ahead of us at every turn. They seem very good at hiding their tracks."

I leaned back in my chair, racking my brain for any possible leads or clues we might have overlooked. But try as I might, nothing seemed to present itself.

"Damn it! Did they stop doing bad deeds after what they did to my family? How come their records are all clean?"
