Lily soon arrived with Leona, the healer of our group. Leona was a cleric with powerful healing abilities, and I was grateful for her presence. As she worked on mending my injuries, I couldn't help but reflect on the events that had unfolded.

"I can't believe my father willingly embraced the darkness," I muttered, wincing as Leona applied healing magic to my broken ribs.

"People often make choices that surprise us, especially when influenced by external forces. It's not your fault, Gideon," Leona reassured me.

"I know, but it's still hard to accept. I thought there might be some part of him that was forced into this, but he willingly became what he is," I replied, my thoughts swirling with a mix of anger and sorrow.

Leona finished healing my injuries, and I sat up, taking a moment to collect myself. The battle was far from over, and with Akasha declaring war, we needed to prepare for what lay ahead.
