Bab 142: The Chosen

By the time Zariel entered his manor, Tiamat had already packed her bags and had her feet kicked up over a table in the common room. Aurelia flew by her to gather what she needed. Zariel was on her heel, breaking off to reach his lab. 

In a single stroke of his sword, he severed the Spatial Runes across his wall. They lit up for a second, the energy coursing through each rune like veins, and died. 

Seamlessly, Zariel threw most of his equipment into his Iris, making sure to gather all the Arcane Stones for the journey ahead of them. He destroyed the rest, swallowing the room in hoarfrost so cold, it burned, shredding what was left behind to fragments, then dust, quickly fading to nothing. 

He left to find Aurelia on the lawn carrying her massive Cauldren. Inside, more than a dozen swords and herbs that could feed an army. He threw it all into his Iris.
