Bab 94: The Changes

The sea of dawn had begun to crest the horizon, illuminating the clouds with a radiance beyond the stars and shedding light on the land below. Men, women, and children all began to rise, moving to the streets to indulge in the feast of life. Some were cranky, others blatantly showed their joy, and others their contempt. 

Zariel was taking it all in, appreciating the elements of nature in a way he'd never imagined he might have.

'It was a beautiful day.' The thought was something he'd never considered he'd have much less share with others in his lifetime. He hadn't anything planned today with the construction of his building still on its way; Zariel visited the coliseum, allowing Aurelia to run wild for a few battles where she'd bet bits of her coin on herself.
