Bab 66: Beast Tide II

Over along the Northern Bridge of the Wall, Commander Quinn's eyes met with the horizon, measuring some incalculable distance. He could sense a tremble in the ground beneath him, growing stronger and more intense with each passing moment. It was the unmistakable sound of a stampeding beastal tide, a horde of terrifying creatures known as cryptids that were making their way towards Salem. 

As he watched, his eyes widened in disbelief. The cryptids, towering beasts with gnarled bodies and eyes that glowed with a menacing light, were larger and more imposing than ever before. Their bodies glittered with Arcana, a magical force that not only enhanced their physical attributes but also granted them terrifying abilities. They moved with a frightening speed and agility, their movements almost too swift for the eye to follow, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. 

His stomach churned, caught in a knot that made his head spin and his heart palpitate in his chest.
