"I could no longer hold back my tears; he's such a fool. What did he think he's doing, trying to get himself killed?

I look at Andrew, knowing there's no way I can raise him here unless I leave the city and go somewhere else. I smile and place a kiss on his cheek. He's just like Lexi, but looking at him sleeping peacefully without knowing his father is about to be killed...

I went to the nearest bank to withdraw all my money from my account. It's good that I have my parents' card to withdraw more in case.

I took out my phone as I decided to call my dad. I need him to know I will be leaving the city and they shouldn't look for me.

"Hello?" I heard my dad's voice, and before I knew it, I started crying.

"Are you okay, Alex?" my father asked through the phone as I tried everything I could to stop crying.

"Father, I have something to tell you," I whispered, waiting for his reply, and then he spoke.
