Bab 117: I'm Glad

The first step in Song Zhuyu's mission to get Rui Ye accustomed to the outside world went without a hitch, except he had failed to take into account one important thing – Rui Ye's stamina. 

Given how the man had gone up and down the hill everyday to fetch his meals, Song Zhuyu certainly did not expect his endurance to be so lacking. By the time dusk descended and they made their way back to the house, Rui Ye had been reduced into a panting and trembling mess. His steps became shaky and unstable, his breathing labored, and he was sweating so much that his shirt clung to his skin.

"How are you so weak?" Song Zhuyu was genuinely concerned for him. At this rate, he would sooner or later keel over before the demon could even do anything in that body. After all, possession drained a significant amount of the victim's energy.

"I– I believe that I am average!" Rui Ye protested, still struggling to catch his breath.
