Bab 84: Black Screen

"Father Song…?" Yurong Tao's hesitant voice snapped Song Zhuyu out of his reverie, and he blinked, setting down his cup of coffee lest he accidentally spilled it with his now shaky hand and clammy palm.

"I…" He began, yet his tongue felt swollen in his mouth. Perhaps because his heart was beating so fast, his chest felt faintly hurt and a dull ache pounded at the back of his skull. 

For the very first time, Song Zhuyu felt a gnawing sense that something might be wrong with him. His memories… seemed to have been tampered with. 

But by whom? And for what purpose? 

Rubbing his face roughly, Song Zhuyu clutched his head and spoke to the phone, his voice slightly strained at the edge, "I can't be certain if it's related to the demon or not, but I'm more inclined toward yes. That's why I can't ask anyone but you. If anything happens, I believe Belial will be able to protect you. And above all, I trust you because you're a skilled exorcist."
