Jian kept sparring with Rio in all fields: hand-to-hand combat, weapons, conjuring elements, movement techniques, stealth techniques, and everything he could utilize.

Rio didn't let him rest for a moment longer than required, beating Jian and only allowing him to replenish his spiritual energy before the cycle kept retreating.

If not for the improvement Jian felt, he would have collapsed long ago in this torturous training.

The pain was one thing, but Rio kept teaching him everything he would need, and it felt like he forced Jian to learn as much as possible.

Yet, he stopped right when it seemed that Jian would break, reaching his limits.

This kind of training, reaching one's limits and stopping right after pushing it a little gives maximum benefit. But the question is: can a person gauge their limits that well?

The obvious answer is no; they can't.
