Before they could turn to face it or do anything about that fact, the bird demon beast with its white-green feathers appeared right in front of them, just a meter apart.

All three of them stood on a tree during the night with the moon's radiance shimmering in the distance, but the dimly lit surroundings proved to be a challenge due to the foliage blocking the light from entering the forest.

"Did you enjoy your slaughter for the last month?" It asked them with something akin to a smirk forming on its beak.
