In Casterly Rock, Tywin Lannister awoke from his sleep, his hand reaching instinctively to quench his thirst. His breath grew heavy as he pondered the vivid dream that had just he experienced. Last night, driven by an unusual fatigue, he retired early to bed only to find himself caught in the grip of an incredibly lifelike dream.
In the dream, Tywin discovered himself irresistibly drawn towards a colossal manifestation of a golden tree. Despite his attempts to control or awaken from the dream, he found himself navigating the frozen landscapes of the North, surrounded by wildlings engaged in fervent prayers towards the massive tree manifestation .
Tywin's confusion heightened as he realized his presence went unnoticed by the wildlings, a relief considering their reputation, yet still disconcerting. As he continued forward, his eyes widened at the sight of giant humanoid figures, some familiar from tales and legends. All of them, too, were directed in prayer towards the source of the radiant light. As the light began to fade, Tywin's gaze remained fixed on the diminishing glow.
He pressed on in the same direction until he reached the spot where the light had dimmed into darkness. There, he found only a lone boy kneeling, his features unmistakably Northerner. As he tried to discern the boy's face more clearly, he caught sight of another figure with Valyrian characteristics, but a haze obscured his vision, allowing only the boy's visage to come into focus.
Amidst this, he realized he stood beside a dragon, its formidable presence imposing a sense of dread upon Tywin's heart. The creature's massive green eyes bore into his own, akin to a predator eyeing its prey. Paralyzed by fear, Tywin longed to flee, yet found himself rooted in place, unable to move.
Lost in his fear, Tywin failed to perceive the passage of time until the voice of Xerneas resonated, proclaiming Jon as the new High King of the realm.
He gazed toward the source of the voice, only to encounter a piercing gaze with cross pupils within a starry manifestation, concealing the true appearance of Xerneas. A boy knelt in the direction of this ominous presence, and the more Tywin scrutinized it, the more he sensed an aura of dread. Memories surfaced of burning down the weirwood tree out of fear of its potential consequences, though he couldn't comprehend why.
Fear gripped him—not of the dragon, but of the enigmatic entity whose piercing gaze seemed to penetrate his very soul. Then, the voice echoed again, commanding, "Wield the Sword, Aegon. Let the world know my will." The boy raised the sword, flames enveloping its blade as a mark appeared on his forehead and his eyes turned green. Tywin watched in disbelief, recognizing the flaming sword as the ancestral weapon of House Targaryen.
Suddenly, the dream ended, and Tywin found himself amidst other Westerosi lords, equally shocked and terrified by what they had witnessed. Their bewildered gazes met briefly before the dream dissolved into darkness.

Xerneas, surrounded by the remaining direwolves of the North, ascended uphill to allow others to approach him. His keen eyes surveyed the gathered crowd, sensing a myriad of emotions—reverence, fear, love, devotion, trust, doubts, and submission. Cannibal soared to the back of Xerneas, acting as a deterrent to those who wished to draw near, casting a protective shadow over him.
Aegon stepped forward, seeking guidance from Xerneas, his uncertainty discernable. Finally, Xerneas spoke, utilizing his power to ensure that all could hear and understand his words, transcending language barriers.
"By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; by me princes govern, and nobles—all who rule in the realm. And I change times and seasons; I depose kings and raise up others. I give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. And I have made you King of Kings. You represent me. If someone rejects your authority, it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their ultimate sovereignty."
A solemn silence hung in the air before Jon spoke, acknowledging Xerneas will. "I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course. Please show us the Lord's will."
Xerneas, delighted by Jon's words, responded, "For I know the plans I have for you all. The plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jon knelt, and others followed suit, echoing their commitment. "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do according to Lord's will."
Xerneas began to glow with a vibrant green light before vanishing from their presence, leaving them with a final command: "Lead your people to Hardhome.".
Jon rose, his gaze lingering where Xerneas had vanished, before turning to Brynden, who nodded in acknowledgment before addressing the crowd, ready to guide them with his magic based on Jon's will. Though hesitant, Jon stepped forward toward the hilltop where Cannibal and the baby dragons awaited, their eyes fixed on him.
As Jon approached, Cannibal growled, resistant to his presence. Unyielding, Jon summoned the King's aura bestowed upon him by Xerneas, his eyes turning a resolute green as he extended his arms toward Cannibal. Gradually, the dragon's growls subsided, and it lowered its head, allowing Jon to approach and lay his hand upon its mighty frame.
Jon sensed the dragon's emotions, and as Cannibal relented, allowing him to mount its back, the onlookers held their breath, curious about their new king's intentions. Brynden and Aemon, brimming with excitement, watched as Jon climbed onto Cannibal's back, the dragon roaring triumphantly to the sky, eliciting cheers from the crowd for their new High King.
From the sky, Xerneas observed with a watchful eye as Jon, using the power bestowed upon him, conquered Cannibal. Xerneas understood that no matter how pure Jon's Valyrian blood might be, he would never be able to subdue Cannibal, a dragon not born under the influence of the blood magic of Valyria. Hence, Xerneas granted Jon a fraction of his own power, a force that would not be swayed by bloodline but rather by the will of Xerneas.
