Bab 90: Luka's Plan

Luka is the one calling, and while I don't want to hear from anyone in the Brotherhood, he would be the least objectionable.

"Yeah?" I answer.

"Morning. Is she okay?" 

With teeth clenching, I glance toward the bedroom where I left the door open—where my heart remains in bed with Vanessa. "Yes. Just a few scratches and bruises." 

"That's some luck considering how the cartel guys looked. Who took them out?"

"Who is asking exactly?" I try to imagine the room Luka is in. Is he with Matvey? Is he back at the house? Am I on speaker?

"It's just me. Matvey doesn't know anything yet. But he's going to find out. Those bodies looked like they went through a meat grinder, Dominik. It freaked the guys out. That's not something that will stay quiet for long."

"Yeah, pretty soon there will be rumors about a werewolf around the club," I mutter. "That might not be the worst thing, though." 

"Who did it?" He asks again.
