Watching a movie was actually a great idea. Now I'm able to think. 

This can't be real, can it? Vanessa and I? She's really… mine? 

If it is real, there are so many implications that I can't even begin to wrap my mind around. I'm waffling between shocked and terrified and cautiously… elated. And also wanting to kick Luka's ass for suddenly gluing himself to her side like they're instant besties.

What happened this morning is too crazy to be a coincidence, though. My crippling headache vanished in an instant, and then she had one. Not only that, my touch was the cure for hers. That doesn't just happen.

I wonder what else has happened between the two of us that I've missed. As unbelievable as this is, that we are the living proof that my mom's romantic story wasn't just a story, it's also strangely… obvious. When I look back, the signs are there.
