"Rast..." Arnulp called out, his voice uncharacteristically soft, trembling with a mixture of confusion and regret.

He dropped to his knees beside Rast, his mind racing with questions that would never be answered.

The weight of his actions and the realization of what he had done pressed down on him like an unbearable burden.
