Bab 149: Creeping Danger

"So it's my turn." Quinlan sighed as he stood up before turning around and pulling something out of his extra pocket: his bosom. "Xiyadie, please hold this for a while."

The thing he pulled out of his chest, still warm with his body temperature, was a small egg. It was of a red and gold color, in a spiderweb pattern. "This is?" Xiyadie tilted her head as she accepted the egg.

"I don't know until it hatches." Quinlan shrugged. "Just keep it warm until I get back."

The egg was not normal. It was the thing that he got from the Unkown reward last night after his spar with Xiyadie ended. When he got it, he was honestly dissatisfied, but thinking about having a pet soon, it didn't feel too bad.

"In games, pets usually help out their masters. I hope the one that hatches from the egg is smart enough to help me with things~!" Such was his justification to hide his disappointment.
