From what his vampiric ears could catch outside the white palace, Max learned that the Dragon Descendants were those at the top of the food chain followed by the werewolves, the vampires and the rest.

'Many have already sacrificed this Dark Throne position to someone they are referring to as the Dragon Lord. I wonder why...'

His curious side wanted to know who the Dragon Lord was and how strong was he to be given the Dark Throne position by a lot of werewolves.
