Bab 217: The Mother and Daughter's Natural Affinity

"Aunty, say ah~ Yummy cake is coming!"

Calliope cut through the slice of cake using a fork before bringing the small bite to Leslie's mouth. Her glimmering eyes and beaming smile revealed how much she wanted to feed the lady.

"Oho? You're trying to feed my wife ah?"

Calix commented while raising his brows, acting as if he was surprised. His countenance was as bright as the little girl's. He glanced from the giggling Leslie to the grinning Calliope.

Laughing along, Director Li and Mrs. An observed their interaction. Three other children joined them at the table. They were more focused on enjoying the delicious cake and other foods, cream and oil staining their small mouths.

"Poppy has promised Aunty," replied Calliope eloquently, puffing up her chest while responding to Calix, "Aunty is sick. Let Poppy help Aunty to eat."

"Thank you, Poppy..." chuckling, Leslie smiled fondly at Calliope, "Let me taste the cake..."

"Okay~"
