Bab 236: Making plans to counter plans

As the Supreme Nexus cohort awaited Mordak's return, they couldn't help but speculate about what he'd bring back: his life or perhaps his life and the coveted Devil's Heart Lotus. Meanwhile, Sabrat seized the opportunity to have Vesper use his spy hounds to scout the area where the true phoenix was rumored to reside. It wasn't easy. There were plenty of setbacks, but Sabrat was relentless. He was determined to uncover the truth about the phoenix and, if possible, devise a plan to take it down.

The thought of resurrecting Seraphina from this terrifying existence filled him with pride. Just imagining how he would boast to Rasoul about leading his crew to defeat a true phoenix made him giddy. Sabrat believed he was the one to craft such a plan. With a mind like Rasoul's, he wasn't about to back down, even knowing the odds were stacked against them.
