Bab 13: Chapter : 13 Let's Runaway

"Ahhh, this feels good. How long has it been since I saw blood in my hands? Maybe a thousand years," Ebonfang muttered, relishing the sensation of being alive again.

Leon observed Darian's son, who was acting erratically, playing with blood in his hands. Darian's son looked strange, with a pale face marked by small cracks and sharp teeth.

"Wasn't he beaten up? How is he standing again?" Leon questioned himself, noticing unfamiliar changes in Darian's son. He instinctively tried to back away. "Wait, why am I getting afraid? He's just a clown. I am an Astaroth," he muttered, regaining confidence. He shouldn't be afraid of a mere boy who had gone insane after being beaten up.

"Master, wait. Something's weird. I think we should run away," the Blabbering Mouth said, sensing something unusual.

"So, you've stood back again and started spouting nonsense," Leon said, annoyed by his guard's comments. Despite his stupid comments, Leon couldn't dismiss him from the Astaroth house as he was loyal and trustworthy.

"Oh, what are you guys gossiping about all alone? Share your words with me. Also, don't leave me out," a voice suddenly chimed in, interrupting the conversation between Leon and the Blabbering Mouth.

A hush fell over them as they slowly turned to see Leon's son's face in front of them.

"Hello," he greeted.

"Ah!" Leon and the Blabbering Mouth both backed off, scared by his appearance, and the other four guards immediately surrounded their master in protection.

"Why are you guys getting afraid? I just wanted to have a talk," Ebonfang said, his voice giving a timid vibe but it was just on surface hiding his real demon.

"Afraid? Who the hell is afraid of you?" Leon shouted, pushing his guards aside, as he didn't need them to fight a low devil kid with no powers.

"So you're not," Ebonfang said, raising his eyes, trying to mock him as he doubted his words.

"You talk really big, don't you?" Leon said, his gaze becoming intense as demonic energy rose. A green magic circle formed in his hand, and he shot out a green beam of light.

The beam hit Ebonfang's left hand, completely obliterating it. Blood gushed down from his shoulder.

"Hhaahaaa I knew you're an idiot. I gave you so much time to dodge the attack, and even then you stood there like a moron," Leon laughed, as he wanted to play with him. He didn't knew that he could just stand there like an idiot, considering how much confidence he was showing.

"You ask why didn't I dodge your attack? It's simple. Why would I need to dodge an attack from a bug?" Ebonfang said, showing no signs of pain despite his left hand being severed and blood gushing down.

"A bug? This idiot is calling me a bug? I'm Leon Astaroth, the head of the Astaroth clan!" Leon was furious beyond words. He didn't want to kill Darian's son; he wanted to torture him and show him who was in control.

As Leon walked towards him, he suddenly halted. He saw Darian's son's arm, the blood that was pouring down, suddenly stop, and a new arm grew back, shocking everybody.

"Well, let's settle this fast," Ebonfang muttered as he bit his index finger and dropped blood on the ground.

"BLOOD DOMAIN!"

A gush of blood erupted from the ground where Ebonfang stood, rising like a tsunami. Leon and his minions tried to create barriers to save themselves, but they were swallowed as they fell into the blood floor.

Everything was surrounded by a red mist, with a crimson moon hanging in the sky.

"Where are we?" Leon muttered, seeing the unfamiliar place.

"Master, something is wrong," Blabbering Mouth's voice came, but when Leon turned around, he saw nobody. His guards had vanished, nowhere to be seen.

"Are you searching for your minions?" a large, heavy voice echoed. Leon turned around to see a figure standing atop a large hill. The figure wore a red coat that floated, even though there was no wind, and a red hat with sharp, shining edges. Smoke released from his mouth and a crimson glint in his eyes.

"Who is he, is he Darian's son's bodyguard or what?" Leon thought to himself. He was nervous, fear slowly gripping him as he faced this unknown person.

"Look at you, how many questions are you going to ask?" a voice whispered inside Leon's ears. He froze in place as a hand held his face played his lips and a head rested on his shoulder.

"Tell me, have you ever felt fear before?" Ebonfang asked.

Leon was completely immobilized, unable to move. He was so afraid that he didn't even dare to turn his eyes to see the head resting on his shoulder.

"Yes, I have felt fear," Leon answered meekly, like a frightened puppy, hoping that admitting his fear might lead to his release.

"Oh, so you have felt fear before?" Ebonfang asked again, as Leon gave a silent nod.

"I see. Then let's make you feel it again," Ebonfang's voice echoed as he started to laugh, "Hahahaha."

Suddenly, Leon felt the weight of the mysterious presence vanish. He could move again but saw nobody around. Desperate to find his way outside, he searched frantically.

"Can't find a way outside, huh? Let me help you," a voice echoed, but nobody was around, as if the voice came from the air.

Suddenly, a portal opened up, showing the way outside.

"Bastard, once I get out of here, I'll show who I am," Leon muttered, thinking that this place was somehow weakening him. He believed that once he got out, everything would be fine. He ran towards the portal but couldn't reach it, as if the portal were eluding him.

Leon, sweating, took off his upper clothes and threw them aside, hoping to run faster. However, he noticed that the clothes remained beside him. He tried running again but realized he hadn't moved an inch from his original position.

"Why did you stop running? It was entertaining. Do you need some motivation to run?" Ebonfang's voice echoed again.

The blood ground started to bubble, and Leon five guards emerged from it, their faces red and blood trickling from their mouths.

"Fuck him," they chanted as they moved like zombies toward Leon as if they will really bent him ground and do some naughty stuff.

"What has happened to you guys? I am your master!" Leon shouted as his own guards were now behaving weirdly and creepily, walking towards him while chanting, "Fck him... fck himm."

"Dammit, you bastards, don't blame me!" Leon shot a beam, obliterating every single one of them. He felt a surge of confidence, reassured that he hadn't grown weak, that he was still strong enough to handle anyone. But to his surprise, they began regenerating, multiplying into clones of themselves, their numbers increasing exponentially as they all rushed toward him, still chanting.

Leon, filled with horror, saw countless men rushing towards him. He tried to run away, but he couldn't move an inch. "No!" Leon screamed as the blood soldiers lunged at him, creating a tower and starting to shake violently.

As the tower of people vanished, turning into blood, Leon lay on the floor, drool trickling from his mouth, his eyes wide open, experiencing something horrible.

"Why aren't you running again?" Ebonfang said, appearing in front of Leon.

"Please, leave me. I promise I will never touch Darian and his son again. If I had known he had someone like you as his bodyguard, I would have never laid a hand on him," Leon pleaded, immediately getting up and bowing.

However, his mind raced with thoughts of escape. He felt weakened whenever Ebonfang appeared, and escaping this place meant going to his family and gathering more soldiers to defeat Ebonfang.

"Bodyguard? Whom are you calling a bodyguard?" Ebonfang muttered furiously, gritting his teeth as a blood wall surrounded them.

"Did I mess up again?" Leon thought, realizing his mistake. "Wait, if you're not his bodyguard, then why are you attacking me?" Leon questioned, trying to understand why he was being targeted.

"That's a nice question, but I don't want to answer," Ebonfang replied, putting his arm inside Leon, who was still bowing. Leon coughed up blood, feeling excruciating pain as he saw Ebonfang's hand in his chest.

As Ebonfang withdrew his hand, Leon clutched the hole, the pain so overwhelming that he didn't wanted to speak anything as if his life will slip away if he spoke

"So this your heart. It looks really ugly," Ebonfang's voice echoed as Leon looked up, seeing something pulsating in Ebonfang's hand. He noticed his heart was missing but questioned how he was still alive.

He got up, blood continuing to pour from the hole. "Please, leave me alive," Leon said, his voice devoid of ulterior motives. He truly wanted to escape and never encounter the person infront of him ever again.

To be continued....
