Gremory castle Darian room
As Emilie finally calmed down, concern etched across her face upon learning of Darian's missing memories, she persistently urged to call a doctor. However, Darian halted her with a plea,
"Emilie, can you just tell me everything that happened before and after I locked myself in the room?"
With a thoughtful exhale, As Emilie began recounting her journey, she shared how she joined the maid service at Lucifer Mansion at the tender age of 10. Under the guidance of the head butler, Alfred Michaelis, who was closely associated with the original Lucifer, she learned the art of being a proper maid. Alfred was also responsible for caring for Darian during his comatose state, though Emilie hadn't met him at that point. It was Alfred's wish for Emilie to become Darian's maid.
The onset of the great war brought devastation, especially with the demise of the original Lucifer. Post-war, the devil community split into factions—some sought peace, while others embraced chaos, now known as the Old Satan faction.
After the great war, Darian also finally awoke, and Sir Alfred nurtured him to adulthood. It was also Alfred, who plotted Darian's marriage to Sirzechs for his safety, After the successful marriage. Emilie was then assigned to care for Darian at Gremory Castle. Mysteriously after all the marriage occasions, not only Alfred but also the caretakers and guards of the Lucifer clan disappeared without a trace, leaving their fate unknown.
As Emilie recounted the incident and information to Darian, From which most of it was already known to him, except for some details such as Alfred. "Is there anything else you know that was suspicious or something during my birth time?" Darian asked.
"I only know that, Right after Master was born he was locked in a room sealed by magic, accessible only to the original Lucifer and Sir Alfred. Apart from that, I don't have any more information, Master," Emilie said.
"I guess I need to find that out myself," Darian mused to himself.
"And what do you think about the Gremorys? I mean, what did the Gremory family think of me?" Darian asked, trying to understand his current standing in the Gremory house.
Emilie hesitated to speak, but Darian pressed, and she finally spoke, "I think Lord Zeoticus doesn't like Master Darian. He was against the marriage from the start but had to give in due to his daughter. Lady Venelana is pretty neutral, and Lady Rias doesn't like you at all," Emilie said in a low tone, her expression filled with sadness.
"It's fine, I guess, since the marriage was more of a contract than love, and I even locked myself away for 50 years, so that has to be expected," Darian sighed, understanding they might not value him much.
"And what about Sirzechs? Does she also hate me?" Darian asked.
"No, Master Darian," Emilie replied. "She is the only one who used to ask me about your well-being during the period when you locked yourself up and if there was anything you needed."
As Darian felt relieved that Sirzechs didn't hate him, but he also hypothesized that she might not have any romantic feelings towards him. However, that was enough for now, as he believed he still had a chance to win her over.
"Well then, Emilie, let's go to sleep," Darian said, yawning to indicate his need for rest.
Emilie blushed as Darian's eyes fell on her. "What happened?" he asked, looking at her.
"Master, I mean, I'm ready for it, but..." Emilie said in a low tone, her eyes downcast and slightly squeezing her skirt nervously.
"What are you saying? It's night; just go to your room and sleep," Darian replied.
Emilie's blush vanished as she misunderstood Darian's words, as she stood up immediately and ran outside the room by covering her face.
"What's wrong with her?" Darian wondered aloud as Ebonfang's head appeared beside him.
"Are you an idiot? You were about to get a cuddle buddy, but now you lost it," Ebonfang said, disappointed in Darian.
"Cuddle buddy? Wait, don't tell me she was ready to..." Darian muttered, realizing he missed a golden opportunity due to his distraction.
While Darian was angry at himself, Ebonfang added, "By the way, Darian, I totally forgot to tell you this before, but it seems like someone sealed your memory."
"Sealed memory?" Darian asked, confused.
"Yes, your memory was sealed, or someone might have tried to erase it but wasn't successful, so they sealed it," Ebonfang explained.
"Why would someone seal my memories?" Darian wondered, asking Ebonfang, "How did you know my memories are sealed?"
"I sensed some magical energy seal in your memories when I took over your body," Ebonfang said.
"So, is there a way to break it?" Darian inquired, now faced with the mystery of who could have sealed his memories.
"Don't worry about that. It seems like the seal is already breaking slowly, so there's no need to worry. I just thought it would be good if you knew that's why i told you." Ebonfang reassured before vanishing. "Now, go to sleep and cuddle with a pillow," he added, poking fun at Darian for missing the original opportunity and now having to settle for a substitute.
Soon Darian succumbed to sleep, cuddling the substitute pillow, the short night swiftly ended, and Darian awoke with a yawn and a stretch.
"I need to go to school to finalize the admission," Darian muttered, making his way to the washroom to freshen up. He engaged in a rigorous morning routine, completing 1000 push-ups, 500 pull-ups, and some stretches.
A knock echoed.
"Come in."
Emilie entered with a breakfast trolley, placing the food on the table and offering a respectful greeting. "Good morning, Master Darian."
"Good morning to you too, Emilie," Darian replied, taking a seat at the table. He noticed Emilie still standing.
"Did you have your breakfast?" he asked.
"No, Master Darian. I will eat after finishing my work," Emilie replied.
"Sit here and join me for breakfast," Darian insisted, patting the seat beside him. Despite her initial hesitation, Emilie nervously complied as they shared the meal.
During breakfast, Darian pulled out a card from his pocket. "Emilie, can you find out who this man is and what he does?" Darian handed her the card with the contact details the fat man had given him.
"Yes, Master," Emilie replied, swiftly leaving and returning in a few minutes. Darian couldn't help but be surprised by Emilie's efficiency.
"Master, the person you're inquiring about is Buford Blunderbuss. He has a weapon and estate business in both the underworld and human world. Currently, his business is suffering, and he is actively seeking suitable investors," Emilie informed.
"Give him a call, tell him to come to Gremory Castle, and bring him to my room," Darian instructed, his mind already strategizing further business dealings with Buford Blunderbuss.
After some time, a knock echoed through the door.
"Come in."
A short, stout man, clad in a black suit and hat, entered. "It's a pleasure to meet one of the original Lucifers," the man greeted with a tone of respect and admiration.
"Please take a seat here," Darian invited, gesturing for both of them to sit opposite each other.
"We weren't able to introduce each other before, so let's start from the beginning. I am Darian Lucifer," Darian introduced himself, extending his hand for a handshake.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir Lucifer. I am Buford Blunderbuss," Buford responded with a firm handshake.
"Mr. Buford, when you approached me yesterday, you knew who I was, didn't you?" Darian questioned, his gaze fixed on Buford with suspicion.
"Yes, I knew. The moment I saw you coming out from Gremory Castle and smelled the Gremory credit card, which is exclusive to Gremory family members, so I had an idea of who you might be," Buford explained with a polite tone, assuring Darian that he had no ulterior motives. The air in the room hung with a mix of formality.
"Sir Lucifer, trust me, I have keen senses for sensing money. The moment I saw you, I knew my business would boom again. I don't need any investing money from Sir Lucifer now. All I want is for Sir Lucifer to become our head CEO in the future when we ask," Buford declared, leaving Darian utterly confused, shifting from a financial request to an unexpected job offer.
"What are you saying? Are you taking me for a fool?" Darian responded coldly, his suspicion growing as he sensed potential shadiness.
"Sir Lucifer, you've got it wrong. It's just my hypothesis that you will do something big in the future that will boost our business, and if your name is added to our company, its growth will be unimaginable," Buford explained with a broad smile, his imagination running wild.
"And what if I don't want to?" Darian questioned, unease increasing as he struggled to understand Buford's true intentions.
"Sir Lucifer, I won't force you, but I hope you will never forget me," Buford said, delivering what seemed like a strangely romantic line, leaving Darian somewhat repulsed.
"Since I've said everything, I will take my leave," Buford announced, getting up. "Sir Lucifer, if you need anything in the future, just contact me," he added, turning around to leave.
"Mr. Buford, there is something I need, actually," Darian interjected. As their eyes met, Buford responded, "It will be a pleasure for me to provide that something." Despite his distaste for Buford's expressions, Darian aimed to maximize the advantages he could gain from this unexpected encounter.
Kouh town
In a spacious room, a silver magic circle shone as Darian stepped out, and BOOM! A smoke screen surrounded the room, revealing a boy with black hair.
"It's time to go to school," Darian declared, dressed in a full black shirt, pants, and shoes, holding forged documents courtesy of Buford.
Exiting the room, Darian made his way to the garage, where his white Koenigsegg Agera awaited. As he entered the car, the garage door opened with a thunderous sound the car shoot out.
