Pei Jingchuan initially wanted to come in and chat with Jiang Yuzhu, as the past few days had been hectic for both of them and they hadn't had much time to communicate.

However, as he entered, he saw Jiang Yuzhu with her eyes closed, breathing evenly in slumber.

He pulled up a chair to sit by her bed, adjusted her blanket, and watched her for a good while before standing up to exit the room. He left the door quietly ajar, wary of waking her up.

Only after he closed the door did Jiang Yuzhu slowly open her eyes. She stared at the ceiling with a restless flick of her hair.

She pondered on what she could do to catch up with Pei Jingchuan.

After considering for quite a while, she couldn't come up with anything.
